When are weekend Masses?
As of July, 2021, we have four Masses: Saturday, 4 pm; Sunday, 7:15 am; Sunday, 9 am; and Sunday, 11 am (Vietnamese).
When are Masses for Holy Days of Obligation?
We have Mass at 5:30 pm* on the Vigil of the Holy Day and 8:00 am & 5:30 pm* on the Holy Day. *Occasionally this schedule is modified when Religious Education classes participate. Please check the bulletin to verify Mass times.
When are Daily Masses?
We have Morning Mass at 8:00 am Tuesday and Thursday and Evening Mass at 5:30 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
When is Reconciliation?
Fr. Thom is available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturdays 3:00-3:45 pm or any time with an appointment.
Does Bishop Zinkula celebrate Mass at the Cathedral?
Yes, the Bishop says Mass on special Holy Days (Christmas Eve, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil), on the Feast of Sacred Heart, and occasionally throughout the year. He also presides at all Diocesan Masses/Rites held at the Cathedral, such as the annual Rite of Election, the Chrism Mass, and Diocesan Ordinations.
Where will I find handicapped parking spaces?
There are 8 reserved spaces on the north side of the porte-cochère entrance. We encourage family members and friends to drive through the porte-cochère to drop off their loved ones with mobility limitations. They will have easy access to the Cathedral and assistance from hospitality ministers.
How do I access the Cathedral when it is locked?
If you are there for Adoration in St. Margaret’s Chapel, you will need a special fob to gain entry via the 2nd door from the left under the porte-cochère. If you need a fob, please stop by the Parish Office during regular office hours (9 am-Noon; 1-4 pm M-F). If you only want to gain access on a one-time basis and are coming during normal business hours, please stop at the office for assistance.
Individuals interested in visiting the Cathedral for other purposes may gain entry with the assistance of parish office personnel during regular business hours (noted above). The Cathedral is not open to the public in the evenings, except for evening Mass and other scheduled events.
Where is the Parish Office and how do I get in?
The Parish Office is connected to the Rectory on its east side. The door to the office is located just off the east parking lot (there is an awning marked “Parish Office.”) The door is locked at all times, but you may gain entry during normal business hours (9 am-Noon; 1-4 pm M-F) by ringing the doorbell and having someone buzz you in.
When is Fr. Thom available to meet with parishioners?
Fr. Thom meets with individuals on an appointment basis. Most appointments are scheduled during normal business hours, but special arrangements can be made, depending upon the circumstances.
Who can help me with questions about receiving Sacraments?
Fr. Thom is the contact for Marriage, Deacon Dan Huber is the contact for Confirmation, Deacon John Jacobsen is the contact for Baptism and Susan Stanforth is the contact for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. All can be reached at the Parish Office during regular office hours.
Where are the restrooms in the Cathedral?
There are restrooms on the north side of the Gathering Space in the Sears Center, adjacent to the stairs/elevator. Another set of restrooms may be found on the lower level. There is also a single bathroom in the 10th Street vestibule (back of church) in the east corner next to the Family Room.
Is there somewhere to take small children during Mass?
Yes, you may take your children to the Gathering Space in the Sears Center where you can see/hear Mass on the monitor by the porte-cochère entrance.
NOTE: During the school year, we have Children’s Liturgy of the Word for children Pre-K through 2nd Grade during Liturgy of the Word at the 9 am Mass. Parents are welcome to join us for the child’s first class. Small children also receive their own special bulletin at the end of every 9 am weekend Mass.

How can I sign up for Mass Ministries?

How can I purchase Sacred Heart merchandise?
We have a Cathedral Store in the Gathering Space once a month after weekend Masses where we sell Sacred Heart T-shirts/sweatshirts, Isabel Blooms, SH School Memorabilia, books, etc. If you are unable to visit us on the weekend, stop by or call the office on Wednesdays.
